Open Days
The Great Barn is open in the afternoon (2pm to 5pm) on one Sunday each month during the spring and summer. Admission is free. On these days refreshments (tea, coffee and cakes) are also available.
These open days and the running of the Great Barn in general are organised by a group of local volunteers.
Additionally the Barn is open both morning and afternoon for the Heritage Weekend in September, when there are also a number of historical talks and a cafe is open in the Village Hall.
2025 Open Days
Five open days on Sundays are planned for 2025, with teas and cakes available on all these days.
The dates will be decided and published here early in the new year.
September 2025: Heritage Weekend: dates to be announced in the new year.
As usual, in early September we will be open for a whole weekend, with historical talks in the Barn, a cafe in the Village Hall, tours of the area around the Barn, and more.
On these days the Barn is open all day (from 10 am) and among other things there will be talks given by the Secret WW2 Learning Network about the SOE Agents who were trained at Wanborough Manor before being dropped into occupied France during the Second World War.
The all day cafe will serve coffee, lunches, teas and cakes.
